Semana del 8 al 12 de febrero 2016

Estimados padres de familia:

Durante esta semana los alumnos aprenderán acerca de las huellas del pasado en el presente. Escribirán un artículo de periódico acerca de los diferentes grupos étnicos en Honduras. Identificarán diferentes hechos históricos durante el descubrimiento y conquista de Honduras. También continuarán con el proyecto acerca de las culturas prehispánicas.

Segundo Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca de las huellas del pasado en el presente a través de las diferentes construcciones coloniales que hoy representan un patrimonio nacional.

Tercer Grado

Los alumnos escribirán un artículo acerca de la forma de vida de los diferentes grupos étnicos de Honduras. Sus tradiciones y costumbres.

Cuarto Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca de los diferentes hechos históricos durante el descubrimiento, conquista e independencia de Honduras.

Quinto Grado

Los alumnos continuarán trabajando en su proyecto acerca de las culturas prehispánicas. Al terminarlo realizarán una presentación.

En la siguiente clase aprenderán acerca de la cultura en mesoamérica, zona intermedia y andina. Culminando así este precioso tema que ha sido de mucho interés para los estudiantes.

SENIORS BAKE SALE – The Seniors will be having their traditional Valentine’s Day Bake Sale on Friday, February 12. They will be selling delicious treats during snack and lunch. Students may also begin to pre order roses, candy grams, and love notes. The seniors have the pre order forms and they will be handing them out to all students. The last day to pre order will be Tuesday, February 9.

DPTO BINGO – We would like to invite all our school community to join the DPTO in a wonderful night of great food, awesome prices and lots of fun. The Bingo will take place on Friday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are L200 and can be purchased from any DPTO member or Ms. Gaby is in the office.

For Early Childhood:

Wolves Art and Book Clubs for Early Childhood, beginning February 1, and will take place Monday through Thursday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. The monthly cost per club is Lps.600.00. After school transportation is available at an additional monthly cost of Lps.500.00. The Art Club will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the Book Club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.             For Middle and High School

VALENTINE’S DAY BALL (for grades 6 – 12 ONLY) – The Senior Class will be hosting a school dance on Friday, February 12 from 7:00 pm – 10:30 pm. The entrance fee will be of Lps. 150 and it will include the entrance to the dance, dinner (3 tacos and 1 gringa), and 1 refreshment. Tickets will be sold on the day of the event. School and parental supervision will be provided. Formal attire is required. A parents’ lounge will be available in the Information Center for parents who wish to stay and wait for their child.
