Estimados padres de familia:

Durante esta semana los alumnos continuarán aprendiendo acerca de la importancia de valorar y respetar las diferentes etnias y culturas de Honduras. Identificarán los principales medios de comunicación y vías de transporte. Conocerán acerca de las actividades económicas de Centro América. Aprenderán acerca del origen multiétnico de América.

Segundo Grado

Los alumnos continuarán aprendiendo acerca de la importancia de valorar y respetar las diferentes etnias y culturas de Honduras. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Tercer Grado

Los alumnos identificarán los principales medios de comunicación y vías de transporte. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Cuarto Grado

Los alumnos conocerán acerca de las principales actividades económicas de Centro América. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Quinto Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca del origen multiétnico de América. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

SUMMER CAMPS AT DISCOVERY SCHOOL - Just like last year, there will be two summer camps in the month of June. Discovery Zone 7 will be a fun, artistic and entertaining camp for children 3 to 9 years old. There will also be a reinforcement camp for reading, writing and French for students in grades K-2. Both camps will run from June 13 to July 1, with the same schedule (8:00 a.m. to 12:00). Transportation is available at a small additional cost. If you or a relative/friend is interested, more information can be given to you by Ms. Carolina or at the accounting offices in school.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE – When cleaning out backpacks and lockers, and for some of you that will be packing your homes, we encourage you to consider donating notebooks, pencils, colors, etc that you find in good condition to NPH. We thank you for your support with this initiative.

Conocerán acerca de las principales actividades turísticas de Centro América. Aprenderán acerca de los procesos democráticos de América.

Segundo Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán la importancia de valorar y respetar las diferentes etnias y culturas de Honduras. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Tercer Grado

Los alumnos identificarán las principales actividades económicas del país. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Cuarto Grado

Los alumnos conocerán acerca de las principales actividades turísticas de Centro América. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Quinto Grado

Durante esta semana los alumnos identificarán las principales profesiones y oficios. Aprenderán acerca de la función e importancia que tiene todo trabajo. Conocerán acerca de los recursos  naturales. Aprenderán acerca de las vías y medios de transporte.

Segundo Grado

Los alumnos identificarán las principales profesiones y oficios. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Tercer Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca de la función e importancia que tiene todo trabajo. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Cuarto Grado

Los alumnos conocerán acerca de los recursos naturales renovables y no renovables. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema. 

Quinto Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca de las vías y medios de transporte. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Durante esta semana los alumnos identificarán las principales actividades económicas del departamento. Aprenderán acerca de los deberes y derechos ciudadanos. Conocerán acerca de los grupos étnicos de Honduras. Aprenderán acerca de la migración y sus causas.

Segundo Grado

Los alumnos identificarán las principales actividades económicas del departamento.Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Tercer Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca de los deberes y derechos ciudadanos. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Cuarto Grado

Los alumnos conocerán acerca de las características y diversidad cultural de las etnias de Honduras. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

Quinto Grado

Los alumnos aprenderán acerca de la migración y sus causas. Traer sus electrónicos para trabajar en clase e investigar acerca del tema.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON MAY 14 - The Discovery School’s third General Assembly meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. at the school's cafeteria.  There will be 4 vacancies on the Board of Directors. Nominations will still be accepted the day of the General Assembly, as specified in our by-laws.

The reward of an “ice cream day” will be offered to the elementary and secondary group with best attendance resulting in a quorum.

ART EXHIBIT – Also on Saturday we will be having our annual Art Exhibit.

CHILD SUPERVISED ACTIVITIES FOR THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY – In order to help our parents attend the General Assembly, the school is providing supervised activities in the Early Childhood area for those parents who would like to bring their children to school. There will be movies, arts & crafts, board games and word games available for those who find child care on Saturday a difficulty!

BRICKZ4KIDS – The new module on Space Explorations begins on Monday, May 9. This module will last 4 weeks!

DISCOVERY IDOL – Start preparing your presentation for our annual talent show! Auditions will take place during lunch recess in the music room on May 11 and 12.
